ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute to conduct live demonstrations at ACHEMA 2015 international process industry tradeshow

6/3/2015

Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA (03 June 2015) – The ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute (ISA100 WCI) announces today that it will exhibit at the 2015 ACHEMA tradeshow in Frankfurt Germany, 15-19 June. ISA100 WCI’s display will include live ISA100 Wireless applications highlighting the technology’s ability to enable, extend, and scale wireless applications. The ISA100 WCI demonstration will be located in Hall 11.0, booth E50.

More than 35 ISA100 Wireless devices from 17 different companies will be showcased at ACHEMA. Applications will be configured in three live ISA100 Wireless networks to demonstrate device interoperability. Adaptor modules will be on display that can easily and cost effectively transform legacy wired devices into fully functional ISA100 Wireless devices. And ISA100 Wireless infrastructure devices will be on display from multiple suppliers to highlight growing supplier choices for designing ISA100 Wireless networks.

Application demonstrations are grouped into three key areas: Measurement & Control, Asset Monitoring, and Safety. Each demonstration will show how ISA100 Wireless extends and improves wired legacy applications and enables new applications requiring scalable configurations or legacy protocols.

End-users benefit from scalable ISA100 Wireless technology through improved plant efficiencies and reduced instrumentation installation and operating costs. ISA100 Wireless experts and supplier representatives will be on hand to describe the displays, answer questions, and explain the benefits of ISA100 Wireless.

Mark your schedules and visit the ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute’s booth at ACHEMA 2015 in Hall 11.0, booth E50. Additional information is located on the ISA100 Wireless website at www.isa100wci.org.

About ISA100 Wireless™
ISA100 Wireless (IEC 62734) is an international, industrial wireless networking and communications standard engineered to serve the needs of process industries. With native IPv6 networking and object architecture, ISA100 Wireless extends the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) to wireless.  End users can select ISA100 Wireless Compliant™ devices from a best-of-breed pool of suppliers with assurances of device interoperability. ISA100 Wireless enables automation engineers to quickly create, modify, optimize, and scale wireless networks that are open, interoperable, and reliable for their most critical applications. ISA100 Wireless is the first standard in the ISA100 family of open standards.

Built from the ground up and driven by user requirements, the ISA100 Wireless standard received formal ANSI approval in January 2012 and approval as IEC 62734 in September 2014.  ISA100 Wireless is the only IPv6, 6LowPAN industrial protocol designed for industrial automation.  ISA100 Wireless meets requirements of ETSI EN 300 328 v1.8.1 for coexistence with nearby 2.4 GHz radio devices.

About the ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute
The ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute (ISA100 WCI) is a non-profit industry organization that provides users and developers with market awareness, educational information, technical support, and compliance testing for the ISA100 family of standards. ISA100 WCI provides real-world feedback from the deployment of ISA100 Wireless devices and systems to ISA Standards Committees, fostering rapid refinement to the standards.
