ISA100 Wireless Excellence In Automation Award:  Nominations now being accepted!

The ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute today announced that it is currently evaluating candidates for the 2018 "ISA100 Wireless Excellence in Automation Award."

The ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute’s ISA100 Wireless Excellence In Automation Award is presented each year to an end user company that has demonstrated outstanding leadership and innovation in the use of ISA100 Wireless technology.

Previous award recipients include ALCOA (2017), Phillips 66 (2016), Petronas (2015), Nippon Steel (2014), and RasGas (2013).  The first award was presented in 2013.

This is Award was created by the ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute to promote the application and use of ISA100 Wireless technology.  It is intended to highlight the use of the technology rather than any specific supplier.

Past Awardees:

  • ALCOA (2017)
    The 2017 ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute Excellence in Automation Award was awarded to ALCOA, for: “Leadership in Development and Implementation of Wireless Applications for Mining/Refinery Operations.”  Read their full citation and view their presentation here.
 
  • Phillips 66 (2016)
    The 2016 ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute Excellence in Automation Award was awarded to PETRONAS, for "excellence and leadership in testing and deploying site-wide wireless solutions."  View the full award announcement and view Phillips 66 presentation here.
 
  • PETRONAS Offshore Platform Safety Application (2015)
    The 2015 ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute Excellence in Automation Award was awarded to PETRONAS. PETRONAS was honored for a research project that quantified the performance of an ISA100 Wireless™ based safety system at an offshore operational site. Details of the research study, findings and conclusions are available on the ISA100 WCI website here: Petronas ISA100 Wireless Study.
 
  • NIPPON STEEL & SUMPKIN ENGINEERING Wireless Communication Reliability Study (2014)
    The 2014 ISA100 Wireless Excellence in Automation Award was presented to NIPPON STEEL & SUMIKIN ENGINEERING for its research project that quantified the reliability of ISA100 Wireless technology in a multi-vendor device configuration at an operational site. Read the full report here.
