ISA100 Wireless for unified process control and SIL2 detection in a wireless network (April 14, 2021)

The presentation will describe the capabilities built into the ISA100 Wireless protocol:

• Cyber security
• Reliability
• Scalability
• Multiprotocol communication
  
  

We will then discuss how this protocol can be leveraged to overcome constraints of conventional wired design in plants, and give the asset the capability to absorb new requirements and changes in operation.
ISA100 Wireless allows for the operator to enhance efficiency, reduce risk and collect critical data with minimal effort. There will be a user case exemplifying how this can be done in practice and which considerations were used.
