ISA100 Wireless™ Compliance Institute Announces New Governing Board for 2015

Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA (15 Jan 2015) – The ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute announced today its governing board for 2015-2016.  Dr. Penny Chen, of Yokogawa, will serve as Chairman, to succeed Mr. Ray Rogowski of Honeywell. Mr. Diederik Mols, of Honeywell, will serve as Vice-Chairman, to succeed Dr. Penny Chen.

ISA100 WCI is led by a Governing Board who sets the strategy and direction for the ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute.  Governing Board officers serve two year terms and ensure adherence to annual plans.  Officers typically engage industry events as part of their overall role and responsibilities, such as major trade shows and collaboration with other consortiums.  Volunteering for a governing board officer position requires a large commitment from the individual and generous support from their respective sponsoring companies.

”Our members are grateful to the individuals providing WCI leadership and look forward to more success with our new leadership” remarked Andre Ristaino, managing director of WCI.

“In the past two years, WCI has achieved much:  from ISA100 wireless product certifications to market education,” said Penny Chen, WCI Chairman.  “Today, WCI has over 36 members and various types of certified products and adaptors from a diverse group of vendors..  WCI has also hosted multiple wireless ‘plugfests’ to ensure interoperability between different types and different suppliers of certified product..  I wish to thank Mr. Rogowski for his great leadership and contribution.  I am honored to take this role.  One of the key reasons WCI can be so successful is because ISA100 Wireless technology was created by users and works for users. As part of the Industrial Internet-Of-Things, WCI has committed to continue enhancing ISA100 wireless technology to bring the full benefit and potential of IIOT to the industrial plant. To achieve this goal, WCI will deliver the most robust certification for the industrial plant, continue enhancing ISA100 wireless technology to deliver maximum benefits for industrial users, and continue closely coordinating with other industrial organizations and consortiums.”
